Here are a few fun facts about Whispers in Duet:

• The story begins 3.5 years after the end of Whispers from the Past. It is told from the points-of-view of Benita (a cellist and good friend of Mark's who has appeared in previous books) and Logan (a new character and the paramedic training Susanna.) The book is set entirely in the 21st century.
• I held a contest to name the book, and the winning entry was Whispers in Duet--the perfect title. Thank you, Danielle!
• Mark and Susanna--and other secondary characters from the first 3 books--make many appearances throughout the story.
• The book takes place a year after the pandemic. After asking readers how realistically I should discuss the pandemic, they encouraged me to keep it minimal. So I make a few allusions to it, mostly on how it impacts Benita as a college student and professional musician.
• To celebrate the release, I have the Whisper Falls Boxed Set (Books 1-4) on sale through the end of October. 4 books for the price of 1!
• Music plays a huge role in this story, so I've created playlists on several themes.

Fun facts about A Season for Serenity:

• Although I always include a military character in my books, this is the first time the main character is military. Jeremy is a pararescueman, an Air Force special ops paramedic. Also called PJs, they are warriors who can rescue and give emergency medical care to downed pilots, civilians in natural disasters, and even NASA astronauts!
• Serenity is a toymaker who has a "terribly wrong" dilemma happen in the first chapter. This premise is loosely-based on a true story, told to me by a toymaker who made rocking chairs for my daughters when they were toddlers.
• The book is set in Azalea Springs, North Carolina--the same fictional small town as Fade to Us. The heroine, Brooke, makes a cameo appearance in A Season for Serenity.
• If this book were rated like a movie, it would be PG-13. The "heat level" for this book is simmering (level 2).
